Child-Handled iPhones: For Repair ASAP

According to studies, one of the top reasons for damage inflicted on a smartphone is by letting children play with it. In fact, one out of every four claims of damage is caused by handing the unit over to kids. Although insurance may pay for a new unit, it’s an expense that is preventable.

For those that don’t have insurance on these electronics, the costs could swell into the hundreds for replacements. While there may be age-appropriate games and activities for iPhones and iPads, this doesn’t take away from the unit being a sophisticated piece of technology that requires a light touch. Children don’t fully understand just how fragile the iPhone or iPad can truly be.

Parental Controls

Parental controls can offer a great deal of control when you let kids play with these gadgets. However, this doesn’t stop the phone from going into the toilet or being smeared with a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Children, especially younger ones, don’t have the same concept of careful use as adults. Even the lack of developed motor skills can play a part in a child dropping the iPhone or accidentally smashing it into the corner of a table.

Should your child damage your unit, professional services may be able to restore it to working condition. Instead of replacing the unit, trained technicians may save you hundreds of dollars. Remember, your gadgets shouldn’t be used to occupy a child’s time unattended. Too many variables can come into play which can damage it.
